Most Blue Cave tours are organized from cities on the mainland like Split, but if you are already vacationing on an island of Hvar, we have a tour that starts there. Unlike our Blue Cave trip from Split, this tour from Hvar includes a visit to the Green Cave and the legendary island of Vis. The tour is organized on a fast and comfortable speedboat, which is safe and reliable.
Our tour will start in the morning and our first stop will be the Ravnik Island and its famous Green Cave. Here you will have time to take a morning swim. From Ravnik Island we continue our journey to the Blue Cave, but we will also make a stop at the Stiniva beach on the island of Vis, famous for its narrow entrance from the sea side. The beach is located on the south side of the island of Vis and you can reach Stiniva either hiking by foot, or by a boat. Stiniva is famous for its limestone cliffs and the entrance to the beach from the sea which is only 16ft wide, so boats don’t enter the beach, but you can swim there.
Finally we continue our tour by stopping on the island of Bisevo and the famous Blue Cave. Once we get there you will be able to enjoy in the amazing game of light and the sea inside the Blue Cave. The Blue cave (“Modra špilja” in Croatian) was formed by erosion of limestone by constant Adriatic Sea waves. Watch sunbeams strike the walls of the cave while penetrating through a hole, thus creating majestic shades of blue light across the cave walls. We guarantee Blue Cave is a memory you will never forget. Since it is a very popular tourist destination, you will probably need to wait in a queue, but it is definitely worth it.
With Blue Cave imprinted in your mind we will stop on the island of Vis. There we will have an hour of spare time to enjoy this charming seaside hamlet before we take off to explore the archipelago of Paklinski Islands.
We leave Vis and continue our tour by stopping on Pakleni islands on the southwest side of the island of Hvar, namely its most popular place – Palmizana. Palmizana is a bay on the south side, with several lounge bars and top restaurants, so you have time to enjoy some free time and explore Palmizana exactly the way you want.
We return to Hvar to our meeting place, where you can continue your vacation in Croatia on one of the most famous Croatian islands. We are sure that our Blue Cave tour from Hvar will bring a new light to amazing Croatian islands and be the memory you treasure always.

Another place to enjoy the sights and a refreshing swim is the famous Stiniva beach on the island of Vis, one of the most famous images of Croatia’s coastline, with limestone cliffs descending into the sea, thus surrounding a small pebble beach. Stiniva beach was proclaimed Europe’s best beach destination, so definitely visit it during your holiday. The amazing beauty granted Stiniva top spot in a tight competition.
12:30 – Discovering the Blue cave
And we are at Blue Cave at last! The cave is one of the most famous natural phenomena in Croatia and is one of the most recognized landmarks in the world. Blue Cave is a small cave on the island of Bisevo, located on its southeast side and is famous for its blue light piercing through the floor. It is actually the sun beaming from the outside of the cave and entering seemingly through the hole in the cave, bathing the entire cave in bright blue light. Have your camera ready for this amazing natural wonder. Your captain will gather your tickets and organize your visit of the Blue cave. If it’s high season you might wait a little, but it is really worth it. Just remember swimming is absolutely prohibited here, despite everything you may have heard.
13:30 – The island of Vis
You’ll be back on the boat for a short ride to the island of Vis. We will visit a true Dalmatian coastal fisherman village whose architecture, stone houses and ambiance are a delight. Once we leave we will have a speedboat ride around the island of Vis and continue our journey to Paklinski islands.
15:00 – Paklinski islands and Palmizana
One of the most famous archipelagos in the Adriatic Sea is the Paklinski islands. They are incredibly popular among sailors who love anchoring in the bay of Palmizana, a place to see and be seen. Palmizana has several small beautiful beaches, but is mostly famous for popular lounge bars and posh restaurants. If you want, have a swim or cocktail here on the beach, or have a walk around the island and enjoy in its Mediterranean vegetation. Since we will stay here for a couple of hours, you might even have something to eat in famous Palmizana restaurants.
18:15 – Departure from Palmizana to the island of Hvar
Finally, it is time we depart Palmizana and have a short boat ride back to the island of Hvar, where you can stop and reflect on the amazing day you just had on your Blue Cave tour from Hvar.
