Blue Cave Tour From Omis
Experience one of the most exciting boat trips from Omis and enjoy a fun day full of action along the most beautiful islands in Dalmatia. Visit astonishing natural treasures Blue Cave, Stiniva Cove, Hvar island and swim in the clearest lagoons of Dalmatia.
Our journey starts in Omis on the main square (Poljički Trg), from there we will go to pick-up the other passengers in Split. Here we will embark a very comfortable and fast speedboat. What better way than using the fastest means of transportation to reach the remote island of Biševo, where the Blue Cave awaits you to be amazed by its magical colors. After only a 90-minute ride from Split, you will find yourself inside Modra Špilja, exactly at the right time to see the sun rays entering the hole in the bottom of the cave and being reflected off the cave’s white limestone, thus creating the magical play of blue and silver colors. Please note that our speedboat trip is completely safe and suitable for everyone.
This fun day continues with a short visit to the Monk Seal Cave and a stop at the astonishing and awarded Stiniva beach on island Vis. The latter is accessible only by boat or a challenging hike down the steep hill, due to the fact the high cliffs almost completely surround this beautiful stretch of land. A nice break for a refreshing dip in the clear waters of the Adriatic Sea will be provided for at the lagoon Budikovac, our next stop.
We continue to the Pakleni islands archipelago, where you will enjoy free time on the little island Palmižana to explore its verdant vegetation and the blue sandy lagoon. Try some of the exquisite meals or cocktails at the bars and restaurants by the sea.
After the pleasant rest on Palmižana, we head to the attractive town of Hvar, which is just 15 minutes away. While entering the port of Hvar, take a look at all the luxurious yachts that line the seafront promenade of this very fashionable destination. Here in Hvar, you will have several hours on your own for visiting historical sights (like the oldest public theatre in Europe) or maybe grabbing a cocktail at the famous beach bar Hula Hula Hvar, which became world famous for its after beach parties.
Back on board after exploring Hvar, we head back to Split and from there directly back in Omis. The Blue Cave tour from Omis will surely be a highlight of your holiday in Croatia, so don’t miss it.

09:45 Biševo island and its famous Blue Cave
Biševo’s bay of Balun, our first stop, hides one of the best treasures in this corner of the world that you are about to discover. The Blue Cave is one of the best caves in Croatia and truly a magical place. The blue and silver colors that illuminate the entire cave are caused by the sun’s reflections off the white limestone bottom and this phenomenon is only visible in the hours before noon when the sunrays enter the hole in the cave’s bottom in the right angle. Have your cameras at hand to capture these striking moments! Swimming inside the cave is forbidden, regardless of the rumors you might have heard.
10:30 Exploring the Monk Seal Cave and amazing Stiniva Bay
If the sea conditions are good on that day, the Monk Seal Cave, which is only a short ride away, will be our next stop. After shortly exploring the cave we head to Europe’s Best Beach in 2016, Stiniva. This small stretch of pebble is perfectly protected by high cliffs and an only 16ft wide entrance from the sea and a great spot for a refreshing dip and spectacular photos.
12:00 Budikovac island – swimming time
Depending on the sea conditions, your experienced skipper will decide to have a pleasant swimming break in front of the island of Budikovac. The location provide azure blue waters and great swimming experience.
13:15 Swimming on Pakleni islands and lunch (optional)
Our next stop is Palmižana, which belongs to the Pakleni Islands archipelago in front of Hvar. During the 2 hours of free time we recommend a pleasant stroll along the various paths that run through the lush vegetation of this island, enjoying the sandy lagoon and its turquoise waters or grabbing a bite at the exquisite seaside restaurants and bars.
16:00 Free time to explore town Hvar
Now it’s time to see for yourself why Hvar has gained its reputation as one of the best destinations in the world. This amazing town that is only a 15-minute boat ride away is the sunniest place in Croatia and offers not only an interesting history, but also great restaurants and bars and a nightlife that had even attracted the British royalty. While walking through the town you should not miss to see the oldest public theatre in Europe or the Spanjola Fortress that is perched high above the town with amazing views.
