Krka Waterfalls Tour From Stobrec
Join us on our Krka National Park tour from Stobrec! It’s the perfect activity from Stobrec, which includes a historic city with a UNESCO World Heritage site, Croatia’s top national park and a small charming Dalmatian town.
After we start our tour in Stobrec, we briefly stop in Split to board the rest of our group. While we do so, you can use the 10-minute break to have coffee in one of the lovely city cafes, before we continue to Šibenik, the former seat of Croatian king Krešimir. A walk among this historic town will reveal its history, architecture, fortresses and finally the UNESCO protected Cathedral of St James.
Our next stop is the Krka National Park with all its beauty. You will see firsthand the amazing waterfall Skradinski Buk with its fascinating travertine formations as well as all other interesting and important parts of the park during our guided tour, including several water mills and a traditional ethno village. We will also make sure that you have enough free time to explore the park on your own or to take a dip in the clear pools of the river in front of the waterfalls, all this under the warming Dalmatian sun.
We will reach Skradin, our next destination, after a short, but lovely boat ride. This typical Dalmatian town will be shown to you by our licensed guide, who will give you plenty of facts about its amazing history. Before we head back home, we will have a delicious wine tasting in a traditional winery.
07:25 – 08:00 Ride from Stobrec to Split, including a short 10-minute break
Travel time to the centre of Split is usually 20 minutes, depending on the road conditions. Here we will pick up the remaining tour guests and have a 10-minute break. You might use this time to get some food and drinks for the trip or have a coffee.
08:00 – 09:15 Travel from Split to Šibenik
We always take the fast highway to Šibenik and avoid the old coastal road, which is winding and often congested. The highway is also certainly more pleasant for the passengers in the vehicle.
09:15 – 10:45 Šibenik & Saint James Cathedral – Guided Tour
Upon arrival in Šibenik, our licensed guide will give you 45-minute tour of the most important sights in the old town and tell you more about the famous UNESCO world heritage site, the Cathedral of St James. Once the guided part of tour is over, you will have another 45 minutes to enjoy this charming city on your own. We are sure that you will fall in love with the labyrinth of alleys, stone houses and St Michael’s fortress above the city.
10:45 – 11:15 Departure from Šibenik – Krka National Park
Before we enter the Krka National Park with our tour vehicle there will be a brief stop at the ticket office where you can use the sanitary facilities.
11:30 – 12:30 Skradinski Buk – Guided Tour
Our guided tour inside the Krka National Park is a great opportunity to have a professional show and explain to you the park’s highlights. You will see Skradinski Buk, the most beautiful waterfall, hear about the diverse flora and fauna and learn more about the historic water mills and their use. The licensed guide will give you even more facts and figure about the park in the award-winning Ethno village, which is a perfect example of traditional architecture.
12:30 – 15:30 Free time for lunch and enjoying the Krka National Park at your leisure
This is the perfect moment to dive into the emerald pools under the waterfalls. Skradinski Buk is surely a perfect setting for some amazing holiday photos! While swimming around the river, make sure to take a deeper look at the spectacular travertine formations. Those who prefer to remain dry, we recommend wandering along the trails and inhaling the scent of intact nature.
If you feel hungry, the park offers several restaurants, which serve lunch at reasonable prices.
15:30 – 16:00 Departure from Krka National Park to Skradin by boat
Our next highlight on this day’s agenda is a wonderful boat ride to the pier in Skradin. Simply find a nice spot and relax! Enjoy the stunning views over the river landscape with its communities of reed and sedge and see local wildlife in its natural habitat.
16:00 – 17:30 Wine tasting in Skradin town
Upon arrival in Skradin, you will be met by your guide who will give you an interesting tour of this adorable little town during the 10 minutes drive towards the local winery where you will taste some homemade cheese, olive oil and authentic wine from the region.
