The day starts in the magnificent Sibenik, which is the first destination we visit. Here you can admire the UNESCO world heritage listed Cathedral of St James; take a walk through this captivating town admiring its stone architecture and four fortresses.
After some time in Sibenik, we proceed to the Krka National Park where we will explore its major point of interest, the extraordinarily beautiful Skradinski Buk waterfall, one of the sites you absolutely must visit when in Croatia. During our walk, there will be a guided tour of Skradinski Buk and its numerous water mills and the award-winning ethno village. Later on, we have a several hours of free time and a rare opportunity to go swimming under the pristine Skradinski Buk waterfalls.
This is an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime and you do not want to miss it. Here you can also lap up the crystal clear Krka river waters and the Dalmatian sun or explore the travertine formations in the Skradinski Buk pools. Following this, our next destination is a scenic boat ride from Skradinski Buk to Skradin, where you will be met by a guide at the Skradin dock. Here you will have a chance to explore some of the local attractions and wrap up the day with sampling some of the delightful local wines, cheeses and the to-die-for prsut (dried ham). Šibenik’s narrow winding passages, stone stairways and houses will make you feel as though you have gone back in time. After the guided tour, there will be 45 minutes of free time to do some wandering on your own. A visit to St Michael’s fortress is our recommendation, which is perched above the old town, or you can go enjoy an ice-cream.
