Solta & Blue Lagoon Tour Split
If you are looking for a memorable beach experience away from the tourist crowds of the mainland Croatia, a trip to the spectacular Blue Lagoon of Krknjaši is in order. The Solta and Blue Lagoon tour Split, which departs from Riva will take you to the brilliant blue lagoon on the island of Drvenik and the charming settlement of Maslinica on the island of Šolta on the MB Rižana, a historic Croatian Trabakul boat built in 1881.
Our day starts in Split where you’ll board the boat and head off hugging the island of Čiovo’s coast passing under the clifftop Franciscan Monastery of Prizidnice. After snapping a few shots of this impressive monastery you will spend the next hour cruising through the azure Adriatic passing by many islets along the way to the Blue Lagoon of Drvenik. Be sure to keep an eye out for Dolphins which inhabit the area as they regularly make an appearance.
Upon arrival to the Blue Lagoon, you will be amazed by the sheer beauty of the lagoon. You will have the next 4.5 hours to make the most of your time here so we suggest you take advantage of this unique experience and spend your time swimming, snorkelling and exploring the beautiful little beaches which line the lagoon.
Your Solta and Blue Lagoon tour Split also includes a barbeque lunch accompanied by excellent local wines all served by the lagoon. We also encourage you to take an off-road tour of the island of Drvenik in our ex-military vehicle which is always lots of fun for the whole family. If you’re after something a little more low-key then take a walk and explore the local villages and see what island life is like for yourself.
Once our time is up at the Blue Lagoon we take a 3o minute cruise to the village of Maslinica on the island of Šolta. The bay of Maslinica is breathtaking and boasts beautiful pine forest lined beaches. Here you can take you pick from many secluded beaches or go into the village and see the charming Marchi castle which has been restored into a striking heritage hotel.
After our time in Maslinica is complete we jump back on board the MB RIžana and make the 1.5-hour journey back to the Split.
