Westgate Tower Split

The construction of the largest project in Split has commenced almost two years ago
-Westgate Tower Split, Westgate investment group, which will eventually take an area of 50,000 m2, and is worth 65 million euros. The first of the two towers has been completed and the work on the tower B has started.

Ultimately, the tower “B” of the Westgate Tower Split will be 110 meters high, which will be officially the tallest building in Croatia.

Zagreb construction company “Technique” reported on Tuesday that an agreement was concluded on conducting the works on the construction of reinforced concrete structure, the overhead part of the hotel building with accompanying facilities of “Westgate Tower Split”. Workers of that company were involved in the raising of the southern skyscrapers along the intersection of Ulica Domovinskog rata and Puta Stinica where a month ago the headquarters of Societe Generale Split bank was open.

As we found out, the project is funded by the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the total investment amounts to about 65 million euros.

“Ultimately, the tower “B” should be 110 meters high, which will be officially the tallest building in Croatia. It will have six underground floors, ground floor and 27 floors with a total area of ​​35,000 square meters. The project has a mixed use and hotel part of the building will have 189 rooms, four suites, spa, fitness center, conference center, restaurants and bars”, said Josip Komar, the first man of “Westgate Tower Split” and added that, as is already known, the hotel will be a part of one of the world’s largest hotel chains, of which the public will be subsequently informed, and this will certainly contribute to the competitiveness and expansion tourism in the city.

According to him, the second part of the building will be the headquarters of several technology companies, and the whole project will ultimately create 300 new jobs, while the complex after its construction will be a workplace of 2000 people.

The construction of a large number of hotels in Split Croatia

There is no doubt that Split will enter 2017 as a large hotel construction site. Year after year, the tourist seasons becoming better and tourists arriving in the city from all over the world have turned Split into a true brand destination, which then decided to invest into further development. With an increasing number of private renters, the number of hotels in Split Croatia will significantly grow and that the city definitely should not miss the opportunity to offer a bed for every budget.

In addition to the existing construction site, which will this year draw closer to the end, there is also a number of new building sites that have been already heated with heavy machinery.

However, the fact is that there are at least seventeen hotels in Split Croatia being built or will soon see the start of the construction, according to the data that we got from the Administrative Department for Urban Planning and Construction of the City of Split.

These activities are clear signals that Split tends to offer more quality content for our visitors, and it will remain one of the best destinations to travel to in the years ahead.
